Alright, although this hasn't received much attention yet, I decided I would post the trailer for the first episode to generate hype. Feel free to submit a character guys, cause there's still plenty of room!
So the way this story will work, is that every month or two, I will have an entire 6-chapter episode prepared, to be released on a Sunday. Each chapter will be released a day apart, so the episode should take a week to release. What I'm hoping to accomplish with this is a style similar to Telltale Games, generating hype in between each episode like a TV show. I hope you guys enjoy the trailer for episode 1! January 20th guys, save the date!
Also, every episode will have exactly four perspective characters, based on where the story needs to go that episode. This episode, our POVs are
Tobin, Brynn, Aorvan, Gregor
Chapter 1: Upon Lake Calm (Coming Jan 20)
Chapter 2: The Bronze Heron (Coming Jan 21)
Chapter 3: Of Salt and Seawater (Coming Jan 22)
Chapter 4: The Gods Will Never Walk the Earth (Coming Jan 23)
Chapter 5: Ever We Watch the Calm (Coming Jan 24)
Chapter 6: A Deep Dark Hole in the Heart of the Forest (Coming Jan 25)

Maximus bent down to soothe the girl's aches, and her mother her nerves, but Aorvan Fierceshot was more concerned with the answers she was not giving. "What do you remember?" he demanded. "You must tell us."
"I... I remember nothing," spoke young Maya, tears leaping easily to her amber eyes. "We were walking through the Calmwood..." She peered up at Lady Kendra defensively, as if waiting for an attack. "We were only walking, I swear by the gods. And then... the blood came, and I fell, and everything went black, and Henry was gone..."
Maximus shushed her, applying a viscous white ointment to the red gash in her side. "You must relax, young one," he told her, the crags on his cheeks kindly. "You can only heal while you are still."
Lady Kendra Emmond was a lady, prim and proper, but in that moment, she was only a mother, fearful for her child. She rushed to Aorvan's side, clutching his arm. "Master Fierceshot, surely there is some way to find my son, perhaps some trick of the trade for you hunters..."
"That's for boars and elk, not for little boys who run from their mothers." Aorvan waved her away, looking forlornly from the spire window in the medical turret. Maron's Roost was the Seat of Calm Valley, but today, it was truly calm. The waters of the lake were blue and smooth, and the sun was falling gently below the horizon, painting the sky orange and yellow. Aorvan cursed sullenly. It would be a much harder chase in the dark.
"If you can't find him, what did we bring you into our service for?" Lady Kendra pleaded with Aorvan. Under any other circumstance, he might have been offended. "You are our Head of the Hunt. Then hunt!"
"Hush! Quiet!" Maximus glared at them as he uncorked a bottle of potion from his scholar's robes. "Maya requires quiet."
Aorvan was a hunter, it was true, but in order to track a wild boar, he needed tracks or scratches in the bark of trees. He had already scanned the area four times over, to no avail. Henry Emmond was gone, as if whisked away from this plane of existence by the hand of a cruel god. Tobin had dubbed it a foolish jest, and that Henry would surely show up by supper time. But the day had come and gone without the slightest sign of the youngest Emmond.
"I think..." started Maya, from her sickbed. Her eyelids were drifting open and closed. "I think I can recall something... but you would never believe me..."
She was wrong. Aorvan was hungry to believe anything at this point. Maximus smiled. "You may be surprised, young one."
"Before I fell... Henry and I, we saw men... above the trees... Their heads pierced the clouds." Giants? thought Aorvan momentarily, but that was foolish. Giants had not been seen in Ellevan in a thousand thousand years.
Maya continued. "Their skin was gray and stony, and they were traveling toward the mountains... And we followed them. I'm sorry! I know we shouldn't have, but we followed them. We watched them for so long, the day seemed to melt away... That's all I remember, honestly."
Lady Kendra backed to the corner, a hand to her mouth. What little light filtered through the spire window illuminated her gaunt face, the shutters casting a dark shadow over her narrow eyes. "The gods themselves have walked the earth..." she muttered in disbelief, mumbling to no one but herself. Then she turned to him. "Aorvan, you must find my son. I fear he has not long."
