Welcome to the Creator's Haven!
About us:
The story of this little community began over in the Telltale forums, where we have originally gathered over the years 2014-2018. We are artists, readers, and writers of original work and fanfiction. Most of it all, we are creative types and those who enjoy creativity. The sudden announcement of Telltale's closing in September 2018 took all of us by surprise and beyond the loss of a studio many of us enjoyed and appreciated, we were suddenly threatened by the loss of years worth of work. To prevent this and to continue doing what we love, be it writing, drawing, reading and generally being creative, this new haven was founded. It strives to be a home to all those who enjoy creative works. As such, we wish to openly welcome not only former Telltale forum users, but anyone interested in joining us. A particular gimmick are interactive stories, where in the fashion of a Telltale game, the readers are allowed to make choices that shape the outcome of the story, but this community is by no means limited to these.
How to join:
Joining our community is actually pretty simple. We're always happy to welcome new members, just go ahead and introduce yourself. You don't have to actually do any writing or drawing yourself, but if you want to, I'll explain how you can do it below. Beyond that, we just expect you to follow some pretty basic rules:

How to join:
Joining our community is actually pretty simple. We're always happy to welcome new members, just go ahead and introduce yourself. You don't have to actually do any writing or drawing yourself, but if you want to, I'll explain how you can do it below. Beyond that, we just expect you to follow some pretty basic rules:
1.: Be respectful!
Criticism is always welcome, everyone has a right not to like someone's work and to express their thoughts on it, even if they are negative. However, we expect criticism to be brought up in a respectful manner. Don't be needlessly rude towards other users, don't be hurtful on purpose, don't insult without having any constructive feedback in mind and never personally attack another member of the community. In short, don't be a dick. This community is inclusive to people of all backgrounds and beliefs and while we don't expect everyone to get along all the time, respect is the key virtue for participating in this community. As such, avoid hateful comments aimed at race, gender, sexual orientation, political beliefs or religion, even if you do not aim at a particular member of the community. If you have an issue with another member of the forums, approach the staff instead of resorting to open fighting within the forums.
2.: Be civil!
We get that there are some topics that are problematic by nature. Threads about political beliefs or religion tend to get heated more easily than others. Such threads are not outright forbidden and if users here in the forum would like to talk about them, they have a place to do that here in the Lounge. However, expanding on the first rule, keep things not only respectful, but also civil. If such discussions are to your liking, we expect them to be held in a calm manner. Disagreements are to be expected, but express them in a mature and respectful way.
3.: Don't spam!
Now, the nature of spam might be subjective at times, but what this means is, don't make tons of low-effort posts with the goal of derailing a thread. Advertising your work is more than encouraged, but don't overdo it and stick to the right threads for this. Furthermore, keep your threads in the right section. A thread meant for off-topic discussion has its home in the Lounge, which is also where general Fan Art can be posted for the time being, whereas threads discussing specific works featured here in the forums can be posted in the respective sub-sections.
4.: Have Fun!
Really, we are a mostly easy-going community and despite the few rules there are, this is not meant to be an overly strict place. Most of the time, all that is expected of you is simply decent behaviour. Relax, enjoy your stay here and have fun!
If you don't see anything wrong with these basic rules, then there's nothing standing in your way to join us. Welcome, we're glad to have you here!
How to get your work featured on the site:
As you have probably noticed, this site features creative work. Originally split up into the big three sections of the old Telltale forums that gained the most attention from content creators, as well as original work, further sections for a particular theme can be added if there is enough interest among the members of this community. And anyone interested in participating in the community can get their work featured here for free. If you are interested in having your work featured alongside them, with its own sub-forum, several steps must be expected. First of all, you should be a registered member of the forums. No minimum post limit is required for your work to be accepted alongside the rest, but you should at least introduce yourself here in the Lounge and perhaps introduce your work as well. While not an outright requirement, it is recommended you participate in the forums and become familiar with its users. If you are interested in becoming creative yourself, just approach LiquidChicagoTed, Admin of Creator's Haven and writer of this very guide, and tell him about your work. I shall take care of the rest
With this all said, enjoy your stay here at Creator's Haven!
