Prologue: Welcome to Despair's Hotel
A pair of eyes opened to greet the darkened room.
A bright light suddenly filled his senses as he shot up out of his bed, throwing the sheets across the room in a panic.
A groan escaped the teen's lips as he clutched his head with his right hand. An indescribable pain shot throughout his body, but quickly faded. After taking some time to recover, the teen decided to examine his surroundings.
The room he found himself in appeared to be similar to a typical dorm room, complete with a table and pair of chairs, a nightstand with a lamp, a desk accompanied with a nearby trash can, and the comfortable bed he was taking a nap in earlier, now deprived of its sheets. The only thing that looked out of place was a single flat screen tv that seemed to be fixed to the wall. There also appears to be three doors in this room, one that has two handles.
Opting to investigate the door that had a differing appearance, the teen reached out both hands and pulled on the handles. The doors slid across the floor gracefully, revealing its contents to be multiple sets of clothes. The sets of clothing were all similar in nature however, and reflected the current outfit the teen was wearing. There were long sleeved black dress shirts and black dress pants, as well as white dress shoes and white vests. The most eerie detail was the fact that all the vests possessed the same detail as the one he was currently wearing, a grey pawn icon on his left vest pocket. Feeling creeped out by this similarity, the teen closed the doors and walked towards the door on the opposite side of his room.
This door proved to be less strange, as it presented nothing more than a simple bathroom. It had all the necessities of a private bathroom, as well as a shower. After turning the light on, the teen walked towards the mirror above the bathroom sink to check up on his appearance. His light blue eyes carried a few sleepless nights with them, but that could be fixed with a simple nap later on. His short blonde hair was a mess however, and the teen reached inside his vest pocket to procure a comb. After he was finished, his hair showed no sign of his bedhead from earlier, with the exception of a small cowlick he couldn't quite comb out. Feeling satisfied with his work, he exited the bathroom and made his way towards the final door.
As he reached his hand towards the door knob, the teen heard a distant buzzing noise, accompanied by a strange jingle. Turning back around towards the sound of the noise, he soon realized the source of it was in the nightstand's drawer. Feeling embarrassed that he never thought to check it, the teen quickly opened the drawer, revealing a piece of paper and some kind of device. The item stopped making noise once he touched it. The piece of paper he retrieved was folded in half and had a seal covering it. Big, bold letters encompassed the paper, spelling out 'READ ME!'.
I suppose I should read this first...?

That would explain the strange device...man, what a bizarre letter.
After reading the letter, the teen promptly balled it up and threw it in the direction of the trash can. Taking a closer look at his 'Electro-ID', the teen noticed that it took a look at his fingerprints when he grabbed it. The screen lit up, showing three options. They were labeled profile, students, and map. Curious about the nature of the device, he clicked 'profile'.
Name: Masakazu Komuro
Talent: Ultimate Chess Player
Weight: 120 lbs
Masakazu was shocked. Not only did this thing know his identity, but it also has his height and weight recorded.
"How the hell did they figure this out..." He wondered, searching through the rest of his profile. "I mean, it's Hope's Peak, but still..."
The rest of the profile listed his likes and dislikes, as well as his medical records. It even had his hobbies.
Deciding enough was enough for that option, Masakazu clicked off of his profile and hit 'map'.
He was excepting a grand array of rooms and services available, this was a hotel after all, but was displeased to find that the map only listed his room.
"It must only save data on rooms that I've been to. Oh well."
Masakazu clicked off that option and went onto the last one, labeled 'students'.
1. Masakazu Komuro
Disappointed by the lack of information on this option as well, Masakazu sighed. "Guess there's nothing for it then. I'll just have to explore this place myself and meet the others on the way."
Masakazu picked himself up off his bed and deposited his Electro-ID into his pocket. He slowly made his way to the front door when a loud banging sound reverberated through it.
"Hey, you alive in there?"
And that marks the first official post in this story! Well, what do you think? I had a lot of fun writing this, and I'm quite excited for whats to come.
However, I do still require a few characters to meet the quota for this story. Can't write this without all 16, after all. So for those interested in making a character or two, please consider pming me a form! Currently, I have 3/8 males and 5/8 females. For those of you who submitted one character already, you may submit one more for a maximum of two.
With that, I'll be awaiting a few more characters before continuing with our prologue. Until next time!
