You're scrolling through Creator's Haven, alone with tired monotony, but in the corner of your eye you spot something... Shia LaBeouf. Well actually, "Star Wars: The Last Batch," and you decide to click on the link, and it brings you here, a page that will be updated routinely with each new part, but likely a page you'll only look at once.
Hello and welcome, I am your infamous and unreliable host, Stigz, introducing you to yet another brand new fan fiction that I have conceptualised from start to finish and have decided to attempt writing it all down for you. Star Wars: The Last Batch. Not of cookies, otherwise this story would truly be a tragedy, but of the Jango Fett clones we all know and love from the prequel trilogy and wellknown Clone Wars series. In an attempt to spice things up, I am going to be writing this story with the idea that it is a script for an animated series. Some parts will feel corny, some parts will require imagination, and hopefully the rest of the bits will leave you feeling just as fulfilled as the Season 7 finale of TCW (jk, I'm no Dave Filoni). Anyway, I've fluffed through this introduction without really introducing anything more than a word count, so I apologise if you've taken the time to read up to this point.
SW: TLB takes place a year following the end of the Clone Wars, 18 BBY, where the Galactic Empire has just recently arisen from it's foundations, and the transition is still very fresh for all. For some, the escalation of the new Empire has been fruitful for new career opportunities and elevation in status, for others it has resulted in the destruction of livelihoods and ideals. For the remnants of the Clone Army, the transition into the Empire has meant early retirement for some, and transfer into Stormtrooper unit for others. For the Last Batch, however, it has arisen a new opportunity.
The Last Batch refer to the clones that were still in training or developing at Kamino in the duration of the Clone Wars, and to ensure that their young blood is not wasted, a new program was organised by Emperor Palpatine to utilise these fresh new clones: The Purge Trooper program. Essentially, these clones would be trained to hunt down Jedi survivors, and would serve under the newly founded Inquisitorius.
For the moment I don't intend to take character submissions, but if there's any interest for that, feel free to PM me and I'll give my thoughts
